Malin Akerman («Watchmen», «The Heartbreak Kid»), Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson et Aasif Mandvi ont accepté de rejoindre la distribution de la comédie romantique «The Proposal» rapporte le Hollywood Reporter.

La réalisatrice Anne Fletcher («27 Dresses») dirige ce film, mettant en vedette Ryan Reynolds et Sandra Bullock, pour Touchstone Pictures.

Écrit par Peter Chiarelli, «The Proposal» doit raconter l'histoire d'une cadre travaillant dans le milieu de l'édition (Bullock) qui force son assistant (Reynolds) à la marier afin d'éviter la déportation au Canada.

Le tournage doit débuter ce mois-ci.
