R.I.P. le Shortlist Music Prize, voici les nominés du Pantheon Music Prize

L'organisation du Pantheon Music Prize vient de dévoiler ses nominations pour sa première édition qui aura le 6 février prochain. Ce prix remplacera le Shortlist Music Prize qui récompensait les artistes musicaux pour leur créativité.

Pour être éligible, il faut avoir fait paraître un album sur le territoite américain entre le 1er juillet 2004 et le 30 octobre 2005 et avoir vendu moins de 500 000 copies. La liste sera ramenée à une dizaine de finalistes et le gagnant sera annoncé le 6 février.

Le jury de cette première édition est composé notamment de Ric Ocasek, Elton John, Ahmir « uestlove » Thompson (The Roots), Elijah Wood, Margaret Cho, Shirley Manson (Garbage), Beck, John Legend, Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie), Keith Urban et Adam Brody et Josh Schwartz de la série « The O.C. ».

Dans la première sélection, on retrouve des albums des formations montréalaises Arcade Fire, The Dears, Stars et Wolf Parade.
